In a conversation with Daniel Radcliffe, JK Rowling talked about Dumbledore being gay and how she HINTED about the relationship between him and Grindelwald being lovers in the book. I imagine since Harry Potter is a book series aimed at children, she probably thought it would be best to not mention it clearly and openly. But if that’s her style, i.e. HINTING about two men being lovers, then that alone should justify Drarry and how it makes so much sense and why it’s definitely real. If she did it with Grindeldore, then it’s very much possible that she also did it with Drarry but chose not to admit it because she probably thought that it would have a less favorable impression on the character(s) and the whole franchise. We already know that there are TOO MANY hints about it in the books AND in the movies as well. The theories also considerably add up. I don’t care if she tried to “debunk” it. She can debunk all she pleases. I don’t care about that epilogue, nobody does anyway. I don’t care if they removed that scene of Draco tossing his wand at Harry in DH just because it wasn’t written in the book. Drarry’s relationship and chemistry in the books and in the movies SCREAM sexual tension and love that’s trying to find its way. So she might try and say (or do) whatever to not make these two canon, but we Drarry shippers, we fucking know better.
It’s when he sees him continuously looking towards the Slytherin table that he realizes they’re more alike than he thought. After dinner, he calls him to his office and smiles gently when the boy nervously sits. “Harry, how long have you been in love with Mr. Malfoy?” He watches the blood drain from his face, his green eyes widening in pure horror. He’s never looked this scared before, and he knows what that feels like. He decides to tell Harry about his first love. It was wrong. It was scary. It was thrilling. It was everything Harry was feeling, but he also spoke with him about the bad. He told him about the pain, the broken hearts, the darkness, and how he wouldn’t have given it up for the world. Harry leaves that office a much more comfortable boy, knowing that his feelings are valid and completely and utterly worth it.
“no,” said myrtle defiantly, her voice echoing loudly around the old tiled bathroom. “i mean he’s sensitive, people bully him, too, and he feels lonely and hasn’t got anybody to talk to, and he’s not afraid to show his feelings and cry!”
“Harry saw Draco’s face up close now, right beside his father’s.
They were extraordinarily alike, except that while his father looked
beside himself with excitement, Draco’s expression was full of reluctance,
even fear.”
